Our dog kennels are situated within a private kennels, and an appointment is necessary to view them. Please contact us in the first instance so that arrangements can be made with the kennel owner. (We also keep a register of dogs needing to be rehomed directly from their present home.) A 'home check' may be asked for. A donation of at least £50 is expected for any dog we rehome.

Because of the archaic laws regarding dogs in the UK, we are unable to take strays directly from the street. These must first go via the dog warden (Argyll & Bute Council, Environmental Services), or police, to holding kennels for 10 days. If unclaimed after that time they are either offered to us for rehoming or put down - I'd like to add that, unless they have a very bad behaviour problem such as biting, they are very rarely put down!
